COST Progamme Online Information Session

18.06.2021

Date: 28 Jun 2021, 17:30-19:00

Registration: necessary

The European-funded COST Programme supports the setting up and development of international research networks. COST Actions are bottom-up networks (i.e. open to all subject areas) with a duration of four years that boost research, innovation and careers. The next COST call deadline is 29. October 2021. The Programme does not explicitly fund research, but rather scientific networking, collaboration, dissemination and training activities (e.g. scientific workshops, travel costs, short-term scientific missions) – average funding amounts to € 130.000.

There is also the possibility for researchers to join already-running COST Actions. Participants often go on to develop larger EU and international projects together. As such, COST is an ideal funding scheme for establishing (new) collaborative research networks across Europe and beyond that can be the basis for capacity building, resulting in strong, sustainable and successful consortia.

The EU and International Programmes Office of the DLE Research Services and Career Development is organizing an information session on the COST Programme. In this session, Ines Haberl from the National Contact Point FFG will provide an overview of the Programme as well as all necessary information on how to apply. In addition, the event will include the shared experiences of current COST participants. The event will take place online on Monday, 28. June from 17:30 to 19:00.
