Goal
To fund clearly defined basic research proposals of excellent academic quality at an international level. Basic research refers to research that is knowledge-oriented and whose value is primarily defined by its significance for the advancement of science and scholarship. In general, one principal investigator is responsible for planning and carrying out Stand-Alone projects; however, this person can collaborate with national and/or international research partners.
